Information and Assistance: Provides trained staff who assess the needs of older individuals, informs older individuals of the opportunities and services which are available within the agency and the community, and assists such individuals to take advantage of opportunities and services.
Transportation: Provides rides at low or no cost for medical appointments, banking, shopping, coming to the Center, etc. Transportation for the handicapped senior is available.
Meals-on-Wheels: Meals are delivered to shut-ins by volunteers, Monday - Friday with a frozen meal for Saturday and Sunday (obtained through SIUE).
Health Screening & Evaluation: Includes health fair, blood pressure screening, hearing test, flu immunization, additional screenings, exercise programs and health education programs.
Recreation: Programs attract many participants; examples are pool, pinochle, line-dancing, woodcarving, foosball, senior choir, parties, sing-a-longs, quilting, bingo, and cards.
Collocation for other Local, State and Federal Programs: Some examples: tax assistance, paralegal services, counseling. Call to schedule appointments.
Noon Meals: Provides a congregate meal for seniors Monday - Friday (collocated service provided by Senior Services Plus). Home-delivered meals also provided through Senior Services Plus.
